Terms of Service
What this service is, and is not.
Last updated October 9, 2026. By creating a club account or submitting a consent form, you are using the service described here.
The service
WaiverGenius lets an organization publish a photo and media consent form or a liability waiver template, and store the signatures people submit. Youth sports is the first example. Photo consent, field trips, and youth waivers are signed by a parent or guardian for a named minor. The adult activity waiver is signed by the participant. The waiver templates are starting points, each labeled for an attorney to review. WaiverGenius is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. It is not a registration system.
Not legal advice
The default consent text is a starting point, not a document prepared for your organization. Clubs are responsible for the words they ask parents to sign and for following those choices when they publish photos or video. Have a lawyer review your statement, these terms, and the privacy policy before you rely on them.
Beta and price
The service is free during beta, per organization. There is no paid plan in the product. We will not start charging an existing organization without saying so first and giving it a chance to stop.
Accounts
You need an account to create a club page. You are responsible for that email and password, and for creating a page only for a club you represent. Sign-up may ask you to confirm the email address before you can sign in.
Parents and minors
Photo consent, field trip, and youth waiver pages are for a parent or guardian. Do not ask a child to complete them. The adult activity waiver is for the participant. You are responsible for using the records lawfully, including rules that apply to photographs of minors, medical information on a field trip form, and, if you are a school, to student information. Have a lawyer review the template before you rely on it.
What a signature means here
A signature is the parent's name typed a second time. It has to match the name on the form. It is not a drawn signature, and the product does not verify identity. A missing name means that family is not on file. The form does not record a refusal.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt to open another club's records, or put unlawful content in a consent statement.
Your data
The privacy policy describes what is stored. The club chooses the consent language. A parent submits their own name and their children's names.
Availability and disclaimers
The service is beta software and can change, break, or be interrupted. It is provided as-is, without a warranty that it will be error-free or fit for a particular legal purpose. To the extent the law allows, WaiverGenius is not liable for a decision you make from the records, for a photo you publish, or for lost data. Some places do not allow those limits. Where they do not, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
