Privacy Policy
How records are kept.

Who we are
WaiverGenius provides photo and media consent forms and liability waiver templates that an organization — a team, club, school, studio, camp, or event — can share or embed. Youth sports is the first example. Photo consent, field trips, and youth waivers are signed by a parent or guardian for named children. An adult activity waiver is signed by the participant. This policy covers the public website, organization accounts, and the signing page. Contact: hello@waivergenius.com.
Information from club accounts
- Email address and password. The password is handled by the sign-in provider. Consent records do not contain it.
- Organization name, the template type, the fill-in fields for a waiver (activity, location, state, county, and, for a field trip, dates, destination, and transportation), the consent statement on a photo form, and the link slug.
Information from a signed form, including children
Photo consent, field trip, and youth waiver pages are meant for a parent or guardian. An adult activity waiver is meant for the participant. A submission stores:
- The signer's name
- The name or names of the child or children, when a parent signs for a minor
- A typed signature, which is the signer's name entered again
- That they agreed to the document
- The date and time of signing
- The browser user-agent string sent with the submission
- On a field trip form: medical information, allergies, medications, an emergency contact name and phone, and whether emergency treatment was authorized
- On a waiver: the document text shown at signing, and an optional yes or no for photos
The form does not ask for a child's contact details, photo, school ID, or precise location. It also does not verify that the person signing is an adult. Clubs should send the link to parents and guardians, not ask a child to complete it.
Because the records include names of minors, this is a children's-privacy sensitive service. United States operators who collect personal information from children under 13 have duties under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). WaiverGenius is designed to collect this information from a parent, not from the child. Clubs remain responsible for how they request consent and how they use photographs.
How the information is used
- To show the club's statement and store the signature a parent submits
- To give that club account a timestamped list and a CSV export
- To operate the service, including sign-in and debugging a failed request
We do not sell personal information and the product does not show ads.
Who can see it
- Anyone with the club link can see the club name and the consent statement.
- The club account that owns the page can see that page's consent records.
- A parent does not get an account, and the signing page does not list other families.
- The site is hosted on Vercel. Accounts and database records are stored with Supabase. Those providers process the data in order to run the service.
- We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Records stay until the club asks for them to be deleted. The product does not delete records on a timer, and it does not yet have a button that removes one signature or one team. Email hello@waivergenius.com to ask for deletion. Parents who want a record removed should also contact the club, because the club is the organization relying on the consent.
Choices
A parent who does not agree can leave the form unsigned. The product records an agreement only. It does not store a refusal, and it does not know who on a roster has not signed. Withdrawing consent later is done by contacting the club. The default statement says that. There is no withdrawal button in the product today.
Security
The club dashboard requires a signed-in account. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
